Memories . . .

With racing in my family, visits to KY where racing is a focus with the Kentucky Derby,
I made this piece called 'Southern Star".

My mother made the jacket and I found racing antiques to compliment the piece.

I won a contest ribbon too!              >>>

Traveling and shopping often presents a problem; where am to sit?

I always seem to get one more parcel into the boot of the car!                         >>>

I so enjoy creating holiday decorations.

A favorite birthday gift!

Valerie Rogers, my Kentucky host, sees that my wine glass is filled properly, and often I might say!     2011

Cheers to good times!

Pavlova is a traditional dessert served in New Zealand and I love making it for my host and her family.

Making bears, bunnies, cats and an occasional elephant; I love meeting the collectors at shows. 2006

The weather was still quite mild when I arrived in America. A little wine on the patio suited me fine. 2013

Often my visits to America coincides with my Birthday. Fun in 2009 celebrating!

Dawn Emerson, Valerie's daughter, also has an October birthday. We like celebrating together!

The wind was quite strong when Valerie visited me in Wellington. Atop of Mt. Victoria the scenery is fantastic...and we were both quite cold there. Once down, it was time for hot coffee!

On Valerie's second visit to New Zealand we ferried across to the South Island.

Sailing is not my favorite thing to do; I believe I was turning a little green, I was happy to set my feet back on land!

In the South Island we stopped at beautiful vistas, enjoying New Zealand's scenery

Off we flew, to see if we could spot whales. We did - what a fantastic trip!

Where ever we go, we find teddy bears. Valerie got a real 'bear hug' from the mascot of the Plunket Society, a charity organization offering free services aimed at improving the health of new borns

I was tempted to try the drink, but too early in the morning!  Any signs or items with the words "Jingle" get my attention!

Fish n' Chips, a New Zealand traditional lunch.

Valerie enjoyed a local brew with her lunch.

Decorating the table for Fall and Halloween parties.

In New Zealand we don't celebrate Halloween as they do in the USA. I enjoy dressing up, and even going out trick-or-treating with the young girls. 2010

Getting in the spirit to encourage voting; my patriotic Halloween outfit. 2012

I was a magpie - with a collection of sparkly things this type of bird collects.

I seem to leave 'sparkle' where ever I go, as I adore glitter!

Shopping is fun dressed in our Halloween themed sweaters.

A break from shopping to enjoy a Klondike ice cream bar.

Christmas is a favorite time of the year and more fun to sport our holiday clothing.

Bears seem to find us, no matter where
we go!

One of my favorite big pieces: Polar Express. Four Elf bears with a tree on the sled along with other mischievous elves and woodland creatures.

Now retired, but when I was manager of a huge pharmacy, holidays became special and the customers came to see our colorful, festive attire.

Welcoming the morning.

Sunrising over Wellington Bay; as seen from my front windows.
